In the first paragraph, we touched on the fact that wisdom teeth typically make an appearance between the ages of 16 and 25. That’s why they are called “wisdom” teeth! When you arrive for your appointment, one of our friendly team members will take you back to the treatment room and help you settle into the treatment chair. Then, your dentist will come in, answer any questions you have, and thoroughly numb the area of your mouth that they’ll be working on. If your wisdom tooth is trapped below the gumline, then your dentist will make a small incision in your gums to assess it. Then, they will carefully remove it.
